Can they be adjusted to be less harsh?

According to your recent threads it's: too loud, too harsh, not enough power, inadequate brakes etc.. ;)

Get a new car!! you're fixing to spend a fortune on it as it stands!

Some Tein Coilovers are adjustable, depends what model you have!

i love the car, its just awkward to drive long distances in LOL On anything but the smoothest roads its a bit of a pain - i didnt think it would be as bad as it is!

You need to buy a bug-eye WRX mate !

Seriously, TEIN's can be re-valved, but it won't be cheap, and you would need softer springs to match....

Interesting comment Mr Dunx. My last Scooby was a Bugeye and I loved it. Then I wanted to get another one and everyone said get an STi so I bought an STi 10 and it had Prodrive Springs, Prodrive 18" alloys & 40 profile tyres and the car bouced so much it was hard to handle. Ok on a smooth road and perfect with a heavy load on board. I think the springs were so hard there was not enough movement for the dampers to actually function so it pogo-ed. Now I have OEM Springs, 17inch wheels and 45 tyres and I think I can corner faster than before - certainly much more comfortable. I am investigating new dampers. Owdie and BM can give a good ride with good roadholding, why not Scooby. I am therefore keeping an open mind about aftermarket springs. What say you about EXE-TC? Any others? Peter

Just fitted my teins yestarday.. they are adjustable for the damper. but even on hard setting there not as bad as my hks were.

Upto know i am happy with them got a nice ride height and set them on soft drives like a scooby should and not to soft that you can still play with them.:D

Ive just agreed to buy some STI shocks from a user on here so will be selling the coilovers. I just dont want a harsh ride at all.

Most of the one sccoby drivers are recommended (super streets) are adjustable for damping yeah. You can even fit the EDFC so that you can adjust the damping from inside the car while driving if you want.

i dont know what they are - they were fitted when i bought the car and i dont have a receipt :(

IMHO AST are the best value, EXE-TC are nice if you have a bigger budget...

Tein's are just too harsh, they really need a UK setting. Then I'd buy them.

There is Dunc!!! Superstreets with 40/30 springs for a classic or 40/50 for the new age. Went out for a ride in one the other day and the ride on the soft settings was excellent!

Please may you explain what 40/30 and 40/50 springs mean. I am collecting the spring rates for all the springs I can find. Do you have the rates for these? Thanks Peter

I think I just twigged, duh. 50 = 50 N/mm etc - I have been used to getting lbs/in. Sorry, Peter
