Suspension Noise?

Mate of mine has Tein suspension (think thats what he said it was anyway) on his scoob.......not all the time, but sometimes, it makes a gas/whhooossh type noise when going over bumps.

Does it mean the shocks are on their way out or do they generally do this?? He asked me but I don't know so thought I would ask the experts on here

Just hydraulic noise as the fluid goes through the control valves, while it can be annoying, its not a sign that anything is wrong necesarily.
