Fitting eibach springs, 02 wrx
Afternoon guys and gals. I've just invested (thats what I tell the mrs) in some eibach springs and was going to have a go at fitting them myself. They've now turned up and I've a few questions. Especially as they came with no instructions!
1-Short springs on the front, longer ones on the back, right?
2-The rears have some plastic tubing over a section of them, does this stay on and if so is this to the top or bottom?
3-Does it matter which side ie left or right they go on, I can't see any markings to indicate this matters?
4-Which way up, just so the writing is the correct way up?
5-I've managed to get a loan of a set of spring compressors (I'm using them regardless of wether Dave down the pub says you dont need them!), other than the usual sockets are there any other must have tools I should beg, borrow or steal??
6-Does anyone know if the weather will be nice this weekend, dont fancy doing it in the rain!
Thanks people!

When you take the old ones off compare them and all will become clear.
The plastic tubing stays on.
As long as it's the back or front there is now left or right.
The Springs are wider at the end that fits in the cup of the strut.
Have some knuckle protectors handy
Weather is looking good in Wales

All done, need new knuckles and have ran out of swear words
On a serious note the rears did not seem to fit well at the top. Anyone else found this when fitting on an 02 wrx? The spring seemed a touch too wide for the rear topmount. I'm worried they may be wrong springs if only slightly.
Have had a small drive and the springs havent moved and seems good, turn in defo better, just need to wait a bit then get the geometry done.
