Default Mid Wales Run 20th July

I have been contacted by the usual group of enthusiastic drivers from the South East who would like to sample some of the great roads that we take for granted in Wales.

The plan is that on the 20th of July that we show them what they are missing by not living in God's country, I do have two routes in mind either of which will show them some of the best roads in Wales.

Both routes will end in Aberystwyth but one is via the Elan Valley and the other is via Abersychan, although we could go up via Abersychan and back via the Elan Valley with a rest stop in Aberystwyth in the middle of it.

As usual this is not a race or a chance to show everyone else your driving prowess/idiocy either, remember that we do not want to attract unwanted attention by becoming a nuisance to other road users or even worse endangering lifes.

Anyone I feel to be acting like a complete loon will be told very firmly and in no uncertain terms where they can go.

This event did not happen last year but I hope this can be as good as in previous years, that everyone can enjoy themselves and the weather is good.

So I will start a provisional list for the day, and if anyone has any other routes or suggestions then please put them forward.

Thanks again Tyron for organising this for which will be our 5th year visit to Wales, every year we think of going somewhere else for a driving weekend but we all love Wales for its great roads, beautiful scenery, and friendly culture, and don't think we'd get any of that elsewhere, so all of us are more than happy to just keep coming back!

I'll add our names to the list and what cars we own as most of us don't have scoobies (sorry! I did the last time we came over! ) really looking forward to it and just hope we have some decent weather to enjoy it even more.

I will say this now that before long the listing will be closed, if we get too many cars out then there will be problems.

At this rate I believe that it will divide up into 3 groups, if we have too many cars bunched up then we will attract unwanted attention without a doubt.

I will say this now that before long the listing will be closed, if we get too many cars out then there will be problems.

At this rate I believe that it will divide up into 3 groups, if we have too many cars bunched up then we will attract unwanted attention without a doubt.

I wouldnt worry too much ty, if previous runs over the years are anything to go by then ther'll be a good few thatll drop out last minute and others that wont even bother letting us know that they wont.

Whatever happens it'll be a good craic as usual im sure :-D

That is true Rob but even if we have twenty cars in attendance it will still be quite a job making sure that everyone arrives where they should, it will be like herding cats.

Any chance we could have a post code list for way points en route?

Last time I got separated when negotiating a Sheep at speed and missed where everyone went

If there's some post codes for places on route at least in can just Nav it tree and catch up if needed.
