Thanks for the idea's guys. I'll try and clean it again, but I think I did this when I replaced the Oil pump.

Apparently to some wiring diagrams I looked at last night, there should be a connector or something called a Ignitor which the coil packs lead too, but I'm unsure what I should be looking at as the diagram wasn't quite clear.

Any idea's ?

hi blue long time no see what you been up to mate.when we took the crank sensor wiring off there was no live feed so its something before there and i think it to do with the wiring on the dccd because its not wired up and david at api told me today it will only start if nutral is selected and needs reverse lights wired.

Matt now that you've sorted the Motor, now its time to sort the DCCD.

it needed to be wired through the dccd but matt and his dad made a temp solotion that over rode the dccd wiring.

When it first ran, it sounded like it was knocking heavily and I was thinking just give up.

Within afew seconds this had cleared and started running lumpy and sounded like it was running with anti-lag. I kid you not it was popping and banging like a trooper.

We found out that I forgot to re-attach one of the coil pack leads, anyway 2 sec's later we connected this back up properly and first the first min's it was still abit lumpy which was caused by some of the over fuelling that would of been caused by trying to start it yesterday.

Acouple of mins later, it was running sweet as a nut and I can now say I have the biggest cheesiest grin you'll ever see.

Well what a day its been, its the first time the car has had a decent wash , polish and waxing in the 3 years its been in the country.

Well all the hard work has paid off (10hrs) and to say I'm happy is an understatement as the bodywork has come up superb though the pics dont do it justice.

I used the following in order to produce the goods results :

1. Autoglym carwash first
2. T-Cut Paint renovator
3. Meguiars 3 step process

3a. Paint renovator
3b. Gloss polish
3c. Wax and shine

The car probably weighs an extra 10kg with all the products I've put on, but hey it was worth it.

Wheel arches next Mat that will make another huge differance, you may be tracking it but it will not hurt to be clean.

Si, if you knew how much more I've been cleaning this weekend besides this, you'd be proud.

Though like you said wheel arch's are next, but I'll do this when I put my new wheels on.
