Out with the old and in the year older!!!!
Time has come for the old blue wonder to be put into retirement (For sale shortly) as I collected it's replacement yesturday.
After the 14.5 hour round trip to folkstone I'm now the happy owner of a white Type R with quite a few extras: 450 BHP and 500lbs.
The whine from the streight cut PPG box is to die for. The twin plate exeddy clutch is a bitch but I'm getting used to that. All Ican say is you don't need an immobiliser if you have one of these fitted!!!!
The car needs a little bit of tidying up externally. a couple of small dents and scratch on the boot.
The turbo looks like it's on the way out so is being replaced next friday at scoobyclinic.
I'm on the hunt for a full set of either Type R seats (Version 4,5 or 6) or a P1 interior, I also need the carpet as I had a slight accident with 3 liters of oil in the rear foot well!!!!!!!

I don't think so, It's had £20K spent on it plus the cost of the car,
But then again what a car is advertised for and what you pay are two different things!!!!
Engine and gear box are £12k alone, have a look on scoobyclinic's web site for SC450 package + PPG
The list of goodies goes on and on, It's all quality bits, no corners cut.
The drive in rush hour M25 was a nightmare, I'm sure my left calf mussle is bigger than the right with all of teh clutch work!!!!
Merv, She is nice but needs a couple of things sorted, but Plenty of time and my cars have never been show and shine enterents!!!!
I'm tempted with the SC50 but to be honest the 450 in a classic is more than enough for normal road use and the odd trip up the pod, start pushing 500 and then things get unrealible, So i'm going for the SC450 and I'll get the faulty one refurbed and then sell it on to get some of the money back.

You should of popped in to Jap Performance Parts nr Gatwick and got some stuff for the interior there.
Nice though

Very Nice Dan, I wish you stopped off on your way through!!
I think I remember this car from the pod, I think a young lad built it with all work done at the clinic, 1 of the early 2.5 conversions if I remember correctly.
Stunning mate, be interesting in looking at the cold air feed which I will be getting round to fitting soon.

I'm very pleased, Spent today removing the oil soaked carpet and swapping the seats and carpet out of the RA, I was going to remove these anyhow as thats going to be very bare inside with fatboy bucket seats.
The seats are only temp until I can get some 2 door ones with the tilt arm.
The plan was to stop at Jap performance parts on the way home but my Sat nav decided to die, the traffic was a nightmare all the way into crawley anyhow.
