i think i was stood a little too close on the last corner for a while, so hands up on that one...i don't have a problem with people there even if close so long as its in a safe as possible position i.e not in a area your likly to be collected, like the outside of a bend... but next time anyone near the track MUST have a high vis jacket as at most motorsport events snappers are close but in safe positions and highly visible......
another item for next time though so a good point...
Daz
Good news mate.
I'll have a chat with you at the next gathering we're at to look at what we've given away and what we need to do & add to the formal briefing.
I don't want us to be so tied to formality that it takes away all we like about Blyton and the event itself.
I agree with the more proffessional track security aspects, but I'd still like to have the options for people to use quads or the mini-motos in a safe area and still use the dirt track which compliments the track driving so well.

Maybe this could be arranged along the same lines as the track payments ie. nominal fee for him (only small cos it will mainly be for kids) but with any left over going into the WYIOC charity pot, it's worth asking for nowt anyway.

KIDS. AND. BIKES
AS it was me that brought my kids bikes.. I would just like to say my kids were supervised at all times..and at NO point did they BLAST UP AND DOWN THE PIT LANE.. ..unlike the other two kids.. i dont even think they belonged to any wiyoc member ALL my kids did was ride round in circles on the grass in front of my van and where wearing safty gear.... i did ask alan if it would be ok to bring them..he like me thought we hired the venue.... .BUT riding the quad like a holigan and taking my 26 tonner round the track.. was a bit silly..BUT fooooooking good entertainment :
There did seem to be 2 sets of kids on bikes, Daves on the grass (no issues) and a couple of other slightly bigger crossers that were being ridden up and down the pit lane in the morning. CB had a word and things calmed down.
