Leeds Scoobs meet at The Brickworks to leave at 6.40am for TP. Trading Post convoy leaves at 7am for Ferrybridge. All convoys leave Ferrybridge at 7.30am. Stop for fuel at Scnuthorpe (Tesco 99 or Optimax) and arrive at 8lyton for 8.30am. After a short safety briefing and final payment the track will be opened once everyone has helped erect the gayzeebo and assemble the BBQ. Usual rules :- 5 cars, NO OVERTAKING unless permission granted by the slower vehicle, helmets MUST be worn on track, 5mph in the pits, 10mph on the service roads. SPECIAL REQUEST :- The owner was very kind not to ban us the time before last when things got out of hand with bikes, trucks and some unsafe antics. Last time we were complimented on the smooth running and good behavior. I would like to see this continue please, for the benefit of us all. This isn't a chance to drive like a prat, rather a chance to explore the limits of you and your cars abilities in relative safety. As funny as it is to watch people slide, doughnut and drift like loons, the owner does not want his venue to become known for it. It is a professional motor racing testing track, not McD's car park, and he would be more impressed to see people driving well and improving their speed and technique. NEW FOR THIS EVENT :- My learner car will be taking to the track with some novice drivers (the WYIOC kids) and I ask everyone to show absolute respect when near it.
