Hi guys. Since having my 96 classic impreza turbo estate wheel balanced at ATS, I found that one of the front driver side wheel nuts is threaded. I bought the car with the bolt missing and was told he'd just lost the nut (stupid me for believing him). Is there any way of fixing this or do I need a complete new wheel hub?
Thanks in advance

Can you not just buy a new nut?
If its the stud (the part in the hub its more involved), you will have to press the center out of the hub knock the stripped stud out and refit another and reassemble.
About the same work as replacing a wheel bearing.

Sorry, my bad, it's the stud that's rounded. I'll have to see if the garage can do it for me when I get the brake system replaced. Thanks for your help

Hi
If its a wheel stud , you can change these easily without removing the hub , take the disc off , hit out the stud with a mallet , fit a new stud in , when I fit them , I fit about 6 washers on the stud , fit a nut on and tighten it up, when tightening the nut it will pull the stud into the hub.
It is very easy to do

Thanks, I'll have to see about getting that done. Is it an MOT failure at all?
